Irish I was In Ireland [Or At Least Irish I Had A Guinness In My Hand?]

Ireland. The place where the grass is really greener on the other side. The place where a pint tastes 10x better. The place where you learn what butter is really meant to be.

Ahh Ireland how you captured my heart just when I didn’t expect it. I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland but I didn’t think I would absolutely LOVE it. But sometimes life’s surprises are even sweeter when they are unexpected.

So, if you are thinking of going to Ireland, here’s a quick rundown of my suggestions:

  1. Hit every pub you can. They are all so unique and historic and filled with tremendous people.
  2. Get out into the countryside. You won’t be disappointed by the natural beauty of the Emerald Isle.
  3. Have as much Guinness and Fish and Chips you can. It’s just not the same in the rest of the world.
  4. Take a bottle of bubbly to the Cliffs of Moher. Because why not?

Some other great places that I recommend from my Irish excursion:

DUBLIN: There’s no shortage of places to go see in the city on the Liffey! Some of my favorites include the Guinness Storehouse, Teeling Distillery, St. George’s Arcade, Trinity College, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin Castle, the Irish Whiskey Museum, the Brazen Head, the Church and the Temple Bar District.

KILKENNY & KILLARNY: Smithwicks, St. Mary’s Cathedral, Medieval Mile, Killarney National Park, Ross Castle and O’Connors.

CLIFFS OF MOHER: Enough said.

GALWAY: Literally any and every bar. Some great ones include King’s Head, 1520 Bar, The Dail Bar [BEST COCKTAILS EVER] and Finnegans.

So there you have it! Sláinte!
